Happy New Year everyone! 2005 was a pretty good year for me. Lemme give it up to all my old family and friends, my mom, dad, step-dad, brother, Nick, Misty, Heidi, Carmen, Carrie, Brittney, Sammy, Kenny, Michael, Shelley, Dannielle, Brent, Kelly, Shaina, Tony, Julio, Juan, Chris, another Chris, Jade, Mark, and tons others. You all are awesome! Now let me give it up to all my new friends, and old friends that I started talking to again here in 2005, Cyrus, Joe, Shane, Mike, Shea, Jason, Austin, another Austin, Ivan, Ashley, Michael, Erin, another Michael, JR, Carlos, and others. You guys have been awesome too!
Now some individual thoughts. . .
Misty - It's kind of weird, but even having moved away in 2004, her and I have gotten an even stronger friendship. As close as we are, I know that as every year passes, we are going to get even closer. There is no stopping us.
Carmen - Carmen is so awesome. Whenever I think of her, I think about her laughing. There is nothing I like better than hearing people laugh. Carmen's laugh is one of the best. I love her smile, and it makes me feel so good inside. She's my princess. Mine all mine!
Carrie - Wow! I didn't even know Carrie and Carmen were sisters! That's how little I used to know, but now I know a lot about her! Now I feel like I've known her forever. She makes me feel that comfortable. Carrie helps me take a break from all my worries. That's something everyone needs
Heidi - Awww Heidi! My one and only. Nobody has a sense of humor like her, and I love it! That's my favorite thing about her. She makes me laugh. We make each other laugh! Her and I are a great team. I can't wait to see her and Nick when I come to Louisville and they come to Las Vegas.
Brittney - I only pick on her because I love her. She is one of the most fun loving people I know. I'm glad she puts up with my abuse, because without her, oh my gosh, I don't want to think about it! Even if everything else in the world is wrong, mine and hers friendship is always right.
Maniwa - What can I say that I haven't said. Nick is my best buddy. My go to guy. A man's man. He make me laugh like no other. Honestly, I would take a friend who makes me laugh over a friend who is there for me in hard times, but doesn't make me laugh. Lucky, you do both! I know till the day we die, we are best friends.
Cyrus - As everyone knows, I spent the last 1/3 of the year dating and being great friends with Cyrus. He came into my life and in the short time we've known each other, has really become an important person to me. He's the one I lean on when I'm not strong. Just like me, he has big dreams. Let's see if we can make them turn from dream to reality in 2006.
Julio - I've told Julio everything, and I mean everything, that I think about him. We've never met, because we live so far, but he is still one of my best friends. Isn't it funny how the world works? Looking at our first conversation, I would have never thought him and I would have become the great friends that we are.
Tony - Tony is another one of those great friends I don't get to see often, but he is still one of my very best friends. I haven't seen Tony in probably two years or more. Regardless, we are still as good a friends as ever. Through good times and bad, we can always adapt to what the other persons needs are.
Shaina - Her and I don't get to talk much, but Shaina is in my thoughts A LOT. When it comes to having someone who I can relate to, it's her. I could talk to Shaina for hours and never want to stop.
Kelly - We've known of each other for a while, but didn't start talking until I was about to move out of Kentucky. That's not right! I'm glad we are friends now, but I wish we would have started sooner. I love talking about boys to her!
I have so much more to say about tons of my friends, but that list is definatly the VIP list. They were all so awesome in 2005! Thank You, Thank You, Thank You to all of them for being my rock and holding me up. Without you all, the Kris Kidd (or Hat) as you know him would not exist!

Whatsup livejournal? Long time no see. . . .
I've been working on my magic act A LOT. A local variety show is having auditions next month, so I am preparing an act for that. So wish me luck =) I'm also writing my own full show, 'Mutha Fun Show.' Nick Maniwa is going to help me to put up a free little website for me. Mostly just information about my act, when and where I will be appearing. Stuff like that. I'll keep you all updated.
Also, I'll be working with a guy in Las Vegas soon on some comedy skits. He performs all the time, so hopefully we will write some good ones and then be able to perform them :)
I've been seeing Cyrus a lot lately. I think things between him and I have been going very well. I really really like being with him. The other day we went to Kilroy's mmmmmm and ordered way too much food lol. Not only that, I don't think he got $2.20 worth of Sprite =) haha. Then we went to Walmart, for the same reason we always go to WalMart for. After that, back to his place to cut my hair! It's short now =) We took a nap and smooched ;-) So yea, things are going great between us.
We also went to see Rent a week or so ago. It was great, and if you haven't seen it, what are you waiting for? Go see it, then go eat at East Coast Pizza mmmmm.
Cyrus is getting his clothing line started soon. I have seen some of the clothes he has made with my own eyes and they are awesome! Girls, (or guys, because I know some of my gay friends are drag queens) you have to check out his stuff. Just go to http://www.myspace.com/cyrese If you look at his blog, there are actually pictures of some of the stuff he has made. Plus, any updates about his new website and when you can actually start ordering stuff will be on there too I'm sure.
Also, Cyrus is having surgery in a month or so. If everyone can pray, wish him well, wish on a star, whatever you do for, do it for him please. God fixes everything

Who watched Trading Spouses? Did you see at the end, during the radio show, the special guest they had? It was pyschic Tristan Rimbaud. I used to date him in 2002 when I lived in Louisville. Wow, it's a small world huh? Side note . . . . he's appeared in porn. Yuk! Thursday, I took a friend out to lunch on the strip. We also just hung out a while. What did we see? ? ? ? The Oscar Mayer Weiner Mobile! How cool yea? Also, I watched an American Tale. I haven't seen that movie in oh so long. I loved it. It's my all time favorite. I ordered an employment history report. It will tell me dates related of my employment history. All of the information I have is valid and accurate, but knowing how bright the accountants and owners have been at my past jobs, the information I have about my past employment might not match what is actually on record. It's possible this is what's holding me back from getting a job offer. Many of the businesses I have talked to love me, but say if the dates I report are innacurate, it counts as reporting false information on my app, and that would disqualify me from employment. I am totally in love with this guy I saw on my friends Myspace. I've never talked to him, and I don't know anything about him, but he is gorgeous. . . doesn't live in Nevada though :(
My Kentucky friends will get a kick out of this. I went to go out with this guy this past weekend, and he said he was going to wear his 'Kentucky' shirt for me. Well, I show up, and it was a Morehead, Kentucky shirt. That's a college town in Kentucky. You can imagine the jokes. Morehead? Yea.
So I used to work at Andrew's Home Cooking Restaurant. . . and the owner closed it.
He opened Po'Boys Sandwiches . .. . . and closed it. Now he has re-opened Andrew's Home Cooking Restaurant. . . I miss Andrew's, for the food and the guys.
Daylight savings started Sunday. I'm not sure how it's saving daylight. . . since now it gets dark at like 5:30.

Today I got my new Discover Card in the mail, because my old one had recently expired. After I activated it, I was looking through my wallet today and realized something. Cyrus and I were talking several weeks ago about credit cards and identity theft. We saw that I have credit cards in my wallet that I never plan on using, plus my social security card, which I very very rarely have a use for. If someone got ahold of these things, I would be in big big trouble. He told me some horror stories of people he knows who have been victims of identity theft, and how it took them many many many months and lots of money to get things straightened out. So..... I have put all my credit cards I don't use, and my social security card, away in a safe place that nobody knows about but me. I suggest you do the same. Don't be dumb like me. It's almost as if I was asking for my identity and money to be stolen.
I think the guys out here look at me as a novelty act. They are impressed with how simple I am, and they like it, for a while. I always said I was a cheap date, because I like chicken better than steak haha. Little did I know, I am a cheap date because I don't care to be taken out to a nice restaurant, nice show, and a nice club. ALL of that is fun on occasion, trust me, but give me a break. I don't want to fall in love with a restaurant, I wanna fall in love with you!
Tonight, Halloween, this kid came to the door dressed as Spiderman. I go, "Wow, Spiderman is my favorite!" He goes, "Whatever! His real name is Peter Parker!" Then the kid ran off. Wow!
Thanksgiving is coming up. . . . . mmmmmmmmm. . . . Lemon Chess Pie. Who wants some? I have a feeling I'm going to make a lot.

Jerry Dickerson is in town this weekend. I never thought I would see him again, much less cruisin the Las Vegas strip with him. He looks great and I was real happy to spend some time with him. I think I'm going to see him again on Monday. Maybe I can keep him from leaving! Wooooo.
I watched Beauty And The Beast. It has been a very long time since I have seen it. It's one of my favorite stories. Now I just want to watch An American Tale, my ALL TIME favorite. I haven't seen that in an even longer time.
Thanksgiving is less than a month away. For those of you who will be alone on Thanksgiving, I know it's hard. I've been there and done that. Please please please call me if you are alone. Also, if you are one of my pals in Las Vegas, and need a good meal and some company, let me know. I'll bring it to you. When you don't have a lot of family, or have no family at all, the holidays can hurt. Don't let it happen to YOU. As long as I can help it, all of my friends will be loved and have a good meal to eat come Thanksgiving. You got a friend in Hat, you're never alone.

I went on a date Friday. It went ok. He was sweet. He goes "I could have listened to you talk all night." Yea, I hope I never lose my accent. So long as I have my accent, I can get anything I want haha. I'm only kidding. Seriously though, when you are from the south, guys are a dime a dozen out here. They spoil me, but they are just wasting their time. I don't want to get spoiled. The right guy will come soon enough.
I'm seeing Jerome later this week. I've hardly talked to him the last couple months, so hopefully we can catch up. I like where his heart is. He always talks about how he wants to get doctors, nurses, medicine, and clinics all over the world to help sick people for free. He's a teenager, but already knows his place in this world. That's awesome.

Cyrus and I have tried to be friends. It's unfortunate, but I'm still looking for more with him. He's an awesome guy, and I need to keep myself from losing such a cool dude. Trying to be more than friends with him is not the right way to go about things. It will only make things worse. It's not fair to him or me. I'm glad he still wants to be friends, and it will just take some time before my feelings go away. Then, and only then, can we try and be true friends, without me having an alternative motive. This isn't a race, so I have to stop rushing. This is going to take time. That's that, and I won't say anything more about it for a while. And hey, I still got his back, so better watch out!
In other news, I have a date tonight (Friday) and another one next week, hopefully Sunday. I hope those go well.
I have tickets to the Vegoose concerts this weekend. . . Ok, they aren't really mine. They are a friends, who is flying in today, but I haven't heard from him. If he doesn't come, the tickets are all mine! WOoooooooo.
I'm working on Halloween, doin some magic for money yahhhhhhhh.

Whatsup livejournal? So whats been up with Hat?
Hmmm, we will start with Cyrus. There's no Cyrus like my Cyrus =) Him and I are really great friends, and I couldn't be happer. I'm not really sure where things are headed. We both have a lot going on in our lives right now. I have strong feelings for him, he has strong feelings for me. However, we have talked about it, and we both need some breathing room right now. Not neccasarily from each other, but from serious dating period. I need to worry about a job and losing weight before I get serious with a guy, and he has plenty of things going on also. If I get serious with him, or anyone, I don't want other aspects of my life getting in the way. A boyfriend is something that requires a lot of time and heart, so I need to satisfy my job and weight needs before getting serious with anyone. Cyrus also has a lot on his plate right now. We are still hanging out and still there for each other, hoo haa, but Cyrus made me realize it's best for both of us to take a break from serious dating with anyone really. I'm proud of him. He's a stand up guy, and I know we will never quit on each other, that's a given.
Speaking of weight loss . . .19 pounds to go till I get to my goal weight. Mmmmm, victory is just too sweeeeeeeeet! I smell a celebration party coming!!!!!

I went out on a date tonight (Sunday) It was nothing to write home about. We ate sushi and went to the mall. Can you tell I didn't plan the date? Ehhhh. I wish I would have been with Cyrus. That's who I want. Cyrus gives me a feeling that I belong, and I want to give him the same feeling. Can I do it? I'm not going anywhere. I've got something to prove. He is someone to me. He's got a nice car, he takes me anywhere that I wanna go.
Misty, I love ya, and I got your back always. The same goes for all the girls. The same goes for all my friends. You know who to call. Count on Hat through thick and thin.
I've taken some time out lately to think. It's time that I find my place in this world. 2005 has been an ok year, but 2006 will be a great year. Great things are coming for me and my friends, trust me.
October 11 was National Coming Out day. I think most all my gay friends are outa the closet already, but congrats to them. It's a hard thing to do. Being in the closet takes your youth away. Coming out of the closet gives us freedom to live. To all my straight friends that keep things easy for gays, thank you.
December 8th is national brownie day. MmmmmmmMmmmmmmmmMmmmm! For those that didn't know, I love brownies, and now ya know!
I just read someones blog that bothered me. This person talks constantly about being depressed, mad, and pissed off. That's no way to live. I'm not in a position to help this person, but if your friend is depressed, help them, love them, hug them. Feeling depressed or suicidal? It's not your fault. Read this. . . . . . . .
It's on a gay site, but meant for anyone to read that is feeling down. Remember, better days are ahead. I've known lots of people who have wanted to hurt themselves, and believe it or not, I've felt the same way, so I have some small idea of how you might be feeling.
I want to help people and make a diffence in some peoples lives. I don't really know how. If you think I can help you, ask me.
Let's change the world with love, not hate.

01) Gay marriage will encourage people to be gay, in the same way that hanging around tall people will make you tall.
02) Legalizing gay marriage will open the door to all kinds of crazy behavior. People may even wish to marry their pets because a dog has legal standing and can sign a marriage contract.
03) Straight marriage has been around a long time and hasn't changed at all; women are still property, blacks still can't marry whites, and divorce is still illegal.
04) Straight marriage will be less meaningful if gay marriage were allowed; the sanctity of Britany Spears' 55-hour just-for-fun marriage would be destroyed.
05) Straight marriages are valid because they produce children. Gay couples, infertile couples, and old people shouldn't be allowed to marry because our orphanages aren't full yet, and the world needs more children.
06) Obviously gay parents will raise gay children, since straight parents only raise straight children.
07) Gay marriage is not supported by religion. In a theocracy like ours, the values of one religion are imposed on the entire country. That's why we have only one religion in America.
08) Children can never succeed without a male and a female role model at home. That's why we as a society expressly forbid single parents to raise children.
09) Gay marriage will change the foundation of society; we could never adapt to new social norms. Just like we haven't adapted to cars, the service-sector economy, or longer life spans.

I chilled with Cyrus yesterday, which is good cause I was having Cyrus withdrawls lol. We went to the Marriot. We parked in the closest parking lot because it was almost empty and . . . it was the closest parking lot. Little did we know it was really a death trap. Trying to get from there to the casino involved walking through a forest and then traffic ahhh. We made it though. Later, at his place, he showed me some cool clothing he makes. Anyone who read this, lemme know if u want a purse or gloves or whatever. Hey, matching purse and gloves! We gotta get Cyrus some business, because he is good at what he does.
